Trapani - 2-4 November 2021
The boat lift was was scheduled for Wednesday, but our preference would have been for it to happen on Tuesday. The weather was calm then with a forecast of stronger winds on Wednesday. We contacted the boatyard to see if it could be moved, but they were taking an additional day's holiday, tacked on to the bank holiday. We thought about moving the boat to the lifting dock, but it was already occupied by another boat, so we were frustrated. Our chores are largely done, so it turned out to be a quiet day of hanging around and sightseeing in Trapani. We were checked in to a hotel for the last 2 nights here. Wednesday proved to be as windy as we had feared, and transferring the very short distance from our berth to the lifting dock proved to be very tricky. There was a strong cross wind, and as soon as the nose was clear of the neighbouring boats, it was blown. Absolutely the conditions we don't want for manoeuvring in tight spaces.
